Women’s History Month Trivia Night – March 29 in Oakland!

As many of you know, March is Women’s History Month. In recognition, we will be hosting our 4th Annual Women’s History Month Trivia Night. #WHMTrivia15 is a time to recognize the contributions of women locally, nationally, and globally and raise awareness about a great cause- BAWAR! The event will take place on Sunday, March 29 at Kingston 11 Cuisine in Oakland. Doors open at 4:30pm and trivia starts at 4:50pm (sharp). Tickets are $18 per person. All proceeds benefit Bay Area Women Against Rape, and its work to end sexual violence, abuse, and exploitation.

How can you support? Well, there are four ways:

Get the word out! Tell your friends, family, colleagues, next door neighbors, etc. You can also invite people via the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/431175210382481/.

Form a team! Get your friends, family, or coworkers to join your team. You can write a check to BAWAR, pay via Paypal on the event website (http://www.whmtrivia.org/), or pay via credit card, cash, or check at the event. However, tickets will sell out fast, so the sooner you register your team, the better.

Get donations! We are looking for donations and sponsorships, including raffle prizes, door prizes, giveaways, and larger donations/sponsors. All donations over $50 will get acknowledgment in the program and on the website, and any donations over over $100 will have their logo added as a supporter (over $500 is considered a co-sponsor). Let us know, and we’ll send you a donation letter for businesses.

Volunteer! We are looking for five volunteers to help set up, register and welcome guests, and act as judges and scorekeepers. If you are interested in helping, please contact me at christopher@bawar.org or whmtrivia@gmail.com.
